Funding Options & Rebates

Little Lambs Speech Pathology works with different insurance providers and plans. We have a range of payment methods available depending on your child's circumstances.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

The NDIS is an Australian wide insurance scheme introduced to assist those living with significant and permanent disability to have a safer and more inclusive life as well as aiding in pain management. The scheme also supports the families and carers who support those with approved funding. Little Lambs can work with NDIS clients who are either self-managed or plan-managed only. Medicare

Medicare will subsidise up to 5 allied health sessions under the Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM), formally Enhanced Primary Care (EPC). Eligible participants can receive a rebate towards 5 speech pathology services per calendar year. Currently the rebate is $52.95 and can be claimed via the Medicare Express Plus app. Referrals to use the CDM plan must come from your GP and are required before you commence therapy to claim your rebate. Private Health Funds

Did you know some health funds cover Speech Pathology?

Check with your private health fund to see whether you are eligible to receive a rebate using your 'extras cover'. Please be aware your rebate will be dependent on the health fund provider and the level of cover you have. Your health fund can provide you with a quote for services using the item numbers listed below. 

  • 60-90mins Assessment => Item # 320

  • 90mins + Assessment => Item # 330 

  • 45mins Therapy => Item # 340           

  • 60mins Therapy => Item # 350
